The KZ ZS10 Pro 2 has been one of the brand’s most popular recent models, thanks to its 1DD + 4BA hybrid setup, versatile tuning switches, and energetic yet balanced sound. The new ZS10 Pro 2 DSP is essentially the same earphone but bundled with a new USB-C cable featuring a built-in DSP chip. This adds four selectable sound modes and modern connectivity for phones, tablets, and other devices without a 3.5mm jack.

Design and Build
Nothing has changed with the IEM shells themselves. The ZS10 Pro 2 DSP keeps the same aluminium faceplates and transparent resin housings, along with the four-switch tuning system that lets you fine-tune the frequency response. Comfort and fit are identical to the standard version, and the shells remain lightweight but sturdy. The difference comes in the included cable: a detachable USB-C DSP cable with an in-line controller and LED indicator for the selected mode.
DSP Sound Modes
The core tuning of the ZS10 Pro 2 is unchanged when set to Balanced mode (purple LED), which is essentially transparent. From there, the DSP adds three extra options:
Music (Blue LED): adds a little warmth by boosting the upper bass and lower mids, giving vocals and instruments more body.
Standard Gaming (Green LED): lightly boosts the upper midrange, which brings more presence to dialogue and environmental cues.
Immersive Gaming (Red LED): lowers the bass and significantly boosts the upper mids, highlighting footsteps, gunshots, and other competitive gaming details.
These modes give the ZS10 Pro 2 DSP extra versatility without changing the IEM’s hardware or overall sound quality.

Sound

In its Balanced mode, the ZS10 Pro 2 DSP sounds exactly like the original model. The bass is powerful yet tight, with solid sub-bass extension that delivers satisfying impact without smothering the midrange. Vocals are clear and present, and the treble brings enough sparkle and detail to keep things lively. Just like with the original version, some people are likely to find the treble a little aggressive. The soundstage feels reasonably wide with decent separation, giving music energy and dimension across genres. The stage is more expansive in the Immersive Gaming mode, but it’s also more edgy and a little harsh.

Conclusion
The KZ ZS10 Pro 2 DSP isn’t a new earphone but a new package: you get the same hybrid drivers and tuning you’d expect from the original, with the added convenience of a DSP USB-C cable and four selectable sound modes. For anyone using modern devices without a headphone jack—or those who like the idea of quick tuning adjustments—the DSP version is a smart, low-cost update to an already capable set of IEMs.
