Sendy Audio has unveiled its newest headphone, the Egret, marking a fresh chapter in the company’s approach to planar magnetic design. Blending precision engineering with traditional craftsmanship, the Egret introduces a newly developed nano-diaphragm driver housed in Sendy’s familiar hand-finished wooden cups.
Arriving 4 December 2025 with an MSRP of £799 / $799 / €879, the Egret is positioned as a premium model aimed at listeners who value clarity, refinement and long-term comfort. It will be available through Amazon and selected retail partners.

Precision meets craftsmanship
At the centre of the Egret is a 98 x 84mm planar magnetic driver—the most ambitious driver the company has produced to date. Its ultra-thin composite diaphragm measures under 800nm and is paired with Sendy’s Electron Beam Evaporation Deposition (EBED) process, which applies aluminium traces at an atomic level. According to Sendy Audio, this results in faster transients, lower distortion and a notably open, resolving character suited to both critical listening and relaxed home use.
While the technology is modern, the presentation remains unmistakably Sendy. The cups are carved from natural solid wood, each with unique grain patterns, and the open-back structure is designed to enhance spaciousness and transparency. The headband and earpads use soft leather and ergonomic shaping to maintain comfort over longer sessions.
Tuned with Sendy’s familiar house sound
The company describes Egret’s tuning as balanced and organic, retaining the full-bodied character fans of the brand will recognise. Expect extended sub-bass, clean and open midrange presentation, and a smooth, controlled treble response.

New triple-metal cable included
Egret ships with a detachable balanced cable featuring Sendy’s new triple-composite conductor structure:
- 30 strands of Furukawa OFC
- 10 strands of silver-plated copper
- 10 strands of enamelled gold-plated copper
The design aims to maximise conductivity and detail retrieval, while the graphene-reinforced PVC outer jacket improves durability and flexibility. Both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended plug adapters are included for easy pairing with a range of sources.
With Egret, Sendy Audio appears to be doubling down on its signature blend of natural materials and advanced planar technology—offering a headphone built to be both heard and admired.
