AUNE is a Chinese manufacturer of high-quality HiFi products. Founded in 2004, they have a large number of impressive audio devices, including the excellent X1s 10th Anniversary Edition that I reviewed here. The X1s GT is actually the 8th generation of its X1 series and brings some great upgrades to the lineup.
The X1s GT finally includes a balanced 4.4mm headphone output: something that was sorely missing from previous iterations. In addition, this new model supports up to 32-Bit/768kHz and native DSD512 to give you the best possible audio quality.
X1s GT can also be connected to external clock systems such as the Aune XC1, heightening the audio experience even more. The AUNE X1s GT is selling for just $319 which is an amazing deal considering what’s on offer.
The first X1s model was released way back in 2008. The X1s GT has a balanced 4.4mm headphone output port that produces up to 1200mW of output power. That’s enough to drive just about any headphones on the market with power to spare.
The AUNE X1s GT features an upgraded version of the classic B1 fully-discrete headphone amplifier circuit. You can be confident that it is able to easily power the headphones in your collection. Furthermore, the X1s GT has four digital filters: 2 for general use and 2 specifically for headphones.
At last, the X1s GT finally brings a bit of visual flair to the design. Although it still has the classic chassis form factor, the X1s GT now has a red LED ring light around the volume knob. It’s a small addition but it does a lot to bring the X1s in line with the modern era.
The AUNE X1s GT is available now on HiFiGo with free international shipping. Check it out at HiFiGo here.
